Live Streaming Conference of the Economic Operation of the Chlor-alkali Industry for the Whole Year of 2022 and the First Quarter of 2023 was Held

On April 24th, Live Streaming Conference of the Economic Operation of the Chlor-alkali Industry for the Whole Year of 2022 and the First Quarter of 2023 was Held. Zheng Jiebin, Vice Secretary General of CCAIA, conducted a detailed analysis and interpretation of the industry's raw materials, foreign trade, domestic market trends, and prominent issues, and made predictions for the industry's operation in the second quarter. The meeting pointed out that in the first quarter of this year, under the influence of factors such as increased supply, shrinking downstream demand, and increasing export pressure, industry leading products are facing increasing downward pressure on prices. In the second quarter, underpinned by such factors as the improvement of foreign trade exports and high production costs, the domestic caustic soda market may continue to operate steadily. Meanwhile, affected by sluggish demand and increased export pressure, the domestic PVC market faces significant uncertainty and pressure in the second quarter. This meeting held through live streaming has gained widespread attention from both inside and outside the industry. Nearly 200 nodes from production enterprises, traders and service institutions in the chlor-alkali industry chain participated in the live streaming meeting.
