On June 10, National Energy Conservation Center (NECC) held an online expert seminar on the standards of Energy Consumption Quota PerUnit of Key Products Including Caustic Soda, PVC Resin and ChlorinatedMethane in the Chlor-alkali Industry (Draft for Comments). Zhang Xin, Vice President of CCAIA, Zhang Shoute, Director of the Advisory Department and fan Hongbo, Secretary General of the Standardization Working Committee attended the meeting together with heads or editors in chief from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute, China National Petroleum & Chemical Planning Institute, Bluestar(Beijing)Chemical Machinery, China Chengda Engineering, Xinjiang Tianye Group, Anhui Hwasu, Zhongtai Chemical, Shaanxi Beiyuan Group, Jinling Group, Qingdao Haiwan Chemical and Wanhua Chemical Group.While Gao Hong, Director of the Energy Conservation Management Office of NECC, presided over the meeting, CCAIA introduced the revision of the standard integration and the changes in the indicators and statistical scope. During this integration revision work, the energy consumption limit, access value and advanced value in the original standard were adjusted to level 1, level 2 and level 3 indicators, the benchmark level corresponded to level 2 indicator, the benchmark level corresponded to level 3 indicator and the energy consuming working medium was addedto the calculation range according to the requirements. These experts and company representatives at the meeting fully discussed the standard exposure draft and preparation instructions and suggested that the connotation of level 1, level 2 and level 3 indicators and the implementation time and requirements of indicators at all levels should be clarified. After the meeting, NECC will compile the expert thoughts and submit them to National Development and Reform Commission.
