On November 23rd, the group standard seminar on "Carbon Emission Accounting Standards for PVC Resin in the Chlor-alkali Industry" (draft for soliciting opinions) and "Technical Requirements for Application and Evaluation of Mercury free Catalysts in Acetylene-based PVC" (initial draft) kicked off in Wuhai. Organized by CCAIA, the meeting was attended by leaders and experts from 18 major PVC production enterprises in the industry. While Fan Hongbo, Secretary General of the Standardization Working Committee of CCAIA, presided over the meeting, Vice President Zhang Xin gave an overview of the background of the standard preparation. Vice Secretary General Zhang Shoute briefly explained the main content of the group standard and the problems in the standard text. The attending enterprises exchanges ideas on the accounting boundaries, accounting requirements and benchmark values of the draft of the carbon emission accounting standard for soliciting opinions and the application requirements, usage requirements, and full lifecycle management of the initial draft of the technical requirements for mercury free catalyst application evaluation. After the meeting, the drafting group further supplemented the two standards so as to orderly promote the development and publication of the group standards.
