On March 5th, the sixth session of the 11th council of CCAIA was held in Qingdao. A total of 63 council member units were supposed to attend the meeting, and 90 representatives from 56 council member units were present on site. Zhang Wenlei, the president of CCAIA, presided over the meeting. Li Ming, the chairman of Qingdao Haiwan Chemical Co., Ltd., the co-organizer of the meeting, delivered a speech. Zhang Peichao, the vice president and secretary general of CCAIA, presented a report on the work summary of CCAIA in 2024 and the work plan for 2025. Zhang Xin, the vice president of CCAIA, gave a report on the standardization construction work of CCAIA. Qingdao Haiwan Chemical Co., Ltd., Hubei Yihua Group Co., Ltd., and Shandong Dadi Salt Chemical Group Co., Ltd. respectively exchanged information on their production and operation, transformation and upgrading, and high-quality development. Inspur General Software Co., Ltd. gave a special report on the intelligent development trend of the industry.
The meeting reviewed and voted to pass the "Proposal on the Report of the Revenue and Expenditure of Membership Fees of CCAIA in 2024", the "Proposal on the Development of Members of the CCAIA ", the "Proposal on the Name Change of Some Branches and Offices of CCAIA ", the "Proposal on the Establishment of an Expert Committee of CCAIA", the "Proposal on the Proposed Adjustment of the Membership Fee Standard of CCAIA ", the "Proposal on the Proposed Change of the Domicile of CCAIA ", and the "Proposal on the Preparatory Work for the General Election of CCAIA¡¯s Leadership Change". The meeting also visited and inspected the Dongjiakou production base of Haiwan Chemical Co., Ltd.
The meeting fully affirmed the work of CCAIA in 2024. It was recognized that CCAIA adhered to the purpose of "Four Services" and implemented the core concept of "Standardization, Service, and Development". It focused on the key and difficult issues related to the production, operation, and development of the industry, which promoted the healthy and sustainable development of the industry. The meeting clarified the key work for 2025: 1. Strengthen the Party building work of CCAIA, improve the work system, and continuously enhance the internal governance level of CCAIA. 2. Strengthen the monitoring of the industry's economic operation, conduct on-site investigations and policy research, reflect the industry's demands, put forward relevant policy suggestions, systematically carry out trade remedy work, and safeguard the industry's interests. 3. Compile, publicize, and implement the "15th Five-Year Plan" development guidelines for the chlor-alkali industry, and guide the high-quality development of the industry. 4. Strengthen the industry's technical exchanges, run CCAIA's journal well, further build a platform for industry-university-research-application integration, and deeply promote technological innovation, energy conservation, environmental protection, safety, and intelligent development. 5. Give full play to the roles of the professional committees for key products of CCAIA, do a good job in the work of major chlorine-consuming and caustic soda-consuming products, run Chlor-Alkali Network well, and build an authoritative information platform for the industry. 6. Undertake the industry-related work of the Minamata Convention on Mercury, the Stockholm Convention, the Montreal Protocol, and the Global Plastics Convention. 7. Give full play to the role of the Standardization Work Committee of CCAIA and systematically carry out standardization work. 8. Give full play to the role of the International Cooperation Work Committee of CCAIA and do a good job in international exchanges.
