On June 6th, a research and exchange symposium organized by the China Electricity Council (CEC) and the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) was held in Beijing. Leaders such as An Hongguang, Vice President of CEC, and Li Bin, Vice President of CPCIF, participated in the discussion. Zhang Peichao, Vice President and Secretary-General of CCAIA, and Wang Li, Director of the Industrial Research Department, attended the meeting. At the symposium, CPCIF introduced the production operation of the petrochemical industry (including coal chemical industry), coal-fired power demand, petrochemical development plan, and the industry's low-carbon transformation. CEC presented the current status and development trends of China's power sector and new energy. The two sides exchanged views on industry carbon peak and carbon footprint. Secretary-General Zhang Peichao introduced the power demand of the chlor-alkali industry and its coupled development with new energy, proposing that CEC urge member units like the State Grid and the chlor-alkali industry to take joint measures to strengthen quality supervision in the regulation and procurement of CPVC power cable ducts, jointly promoting the industry's intrinsic safety and sustainable development.
