On August 8, the National Epichlorohydrin Industry Chain Seminar was held in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. A total of 96 representatives from industrial chain production enterprises and related service enterprises attended the seminar. The seminar was chaired by Wang Li, Director of the Industry Research Department of CCAIA. Zhang Peichao, Vice President and Secretary-General of CCAIA, introduced the overall economic operation of the industry and the key work of CCAIA. Special reports were delivered by relevant departments and institutions including Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Sinochem Environment Holdings Co.,Ltd; New Hope Chemical; Jereh Catech Technology Co., Ltd; Nantong Xingchen Synthetic Material Co Ltd; Jiangsu Zhongxu Technology Co., Ltd; and relevant departments of CCAIA. The reports covered topics such as: the process of producing epichlorohydrin through direct oxidation of allyl chloride with hydrogen peroxide in a liquid-solid circulating fluidized bed; treatment and high-value utilization of saline wastewater from epichlorohydrin/epoxy resin plants; current situation and future analysis of China's imported glycerin market; research on the propylene-propylene process for epichlorohydrin; improvement of automation in hydrogen peroxide production processes and construction of safety assurance systems; analysis of high-quality development paths for China's epichlorohydrin industry; and analysis of the glycerin-based epichlorohydrin industry chain coupled with by-product acid recycling. Participants exchanged views on the production and operation status of their respective enterprises, discussed the difficulties and problems faced by enterprises, and put forward relevant opinions and suggestions for the follow-up work of the industrial chain.
