From December 4 to 6, the 17th National Conference on the Healthy Development of the Calcium Carbide Industry & 2025 Calcium Carbide Industry Technology Annual Conference, hosted by the Calcium Carbide Industry Association, was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. More than 200 representatives from calcium carbide manufacturers, research institutes, industry supporting enterprises and related institutions attended the conference. Zhang Peichao, Vice President and Secretary-General of CCAIA, attended the meeting. The conference was presided over by Yang Chuanwei, Secretary-General of the Calcium Carbide Industry Association. Lu Weidong, Chairman of the Calcium Carbide Industry Association and Executive Deputy General Manager of Inner Mongolia Erdos Power and Metallurgy Group, delivered an opening speech. Sun Weishan, Vice Chairman of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, delivered a report on the thoughts on the "15th Five-Year Plan" development of the petrochemical industry. Zhang Peichao, Secretary-General of CCAIA, presented a report on the economic operation analysis and "15th Five-Year Plan" outlook of the chlor-alkali industry. During the conference, experts from research institutions and industry shared a raft of technological achievements and practical cases, showcasing the calcium carbide industry¡¯s innovations and applications in energy conservation and carbon reduction, intelligent manufacturing, and comprehensive resource utilization.
