From April 22 to 24, the 2025 China Chlor-Alkali Industry Development Conference (28th Session) was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province. More than 350 representatives from the chlor-alkali industry and its upstream and downstream sectors attended the conference. The event featured 21 keynote speeches and a guest interview session, with Zhang Wenlei, President of CCAIA, delivering the opening address. Experts from the National Information Center presented a special report on the analysis and outlook of China's macroeconomic situation in 2025. CCAIA delivered a keynote report on the economic operation analysis of the chlor-alkali industry. The Calcium Carbide Industry Association of China and China Salt Association respectively introduced the status and prospects of the upstream calcium carbide and salt industries. The conference also gave special reports on market analysis of caustic soda, polyvinyl chloride, chlorine-consuming products, etc., as well as presentations on new technologies, equipment, and products serving the chlor-alkali industry. During the guest interview session, Beiyuan Group, Huatai Group, Wanhua Chemical Group, and Dongyue Group exchanged and discussed enterprise development strategies and industry development issues.
