On March 6th, CCAIA replied to the Raw Materials Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology with the document (2023) Xiezi No. 006, officially submitting a report and research summary of "Suggestions on the VCM Production and Use and the Transportation of Pressure Reducing Monomers in China". On March 1st, the Association received a letter from the Raw Materials Department (GYH [2003] No. 48), requesting assistance in sorting out the production and use of VCM in China. The Association immediately investigated all domestic enterprises involved through urgent letters, telephone calls, and other means, with a total of 71 PVC production enterprises and oneVCM producer. Through data compilation and analysis,a "Survey Report on the Production and Use of VCM in China and Suggestions on the Transportation of Pressure Reducing Monomers" has been prepared.The report includes the basic situation of the PVC industry and the production and circulation of VCM in China, analyzing the reasons for the flow of VCM and the pressure reducing potential andproposing targeted policy measures and recommendations to strengthen management to lower the monomer transportation volume and reduce safety and environmental risks.
