On June 8th, the launch meeting of thegroup standard preparation for "Gas Chromatography for the Determination of Acetylene Content in Calcium Carbide Slag" was virtually organized by CCAIA. Relevant leaders from Shaanxi Beiyuan, Zhongtai Chemical, Dongxing Chemical, Tangshan Sanyou, and Shaanxi Jintai among other drafting units participated in the online meeting. While Fan Hongbo, Secretary General of the Standardization Working Committee, presided over the meeting, Zhang Xin, Vice President of CCAIA, introduced the background and significance of the standard preparation work. The preparation of the group standards is aimed at standardizing and unifying the detection methods for acetylene content in carbide slag, which is conducive to promoting benchmarking and improving the detection quality among enterprises, The responsible personofShaanxi Beiyuan, the editor in chief, provided a brief explanation of the outline framework and work ideas of the group standard. The participating enterprises had a thorough discussion, focusing on the application scope and details in testing methods. The work arrangements were developed at the meeting.
