CCAIA Participated in an Exchange Conference in the field of Industrial Electrochemistry

An online exchange conference in the industrial electrochemistry sector kicked off on March 11th. Chaired by Jilin University¡¯s Professor Lin Haibo and Secretary General of the Electrochemical Committee of Chinese Chemical Society, the meeting was attended by 38 representatives from CPCIF, the Electrochemical Committee of Chinese Chemical Society, CCAIA, Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing Co., Ltd., Jilin University, Wuhan University, Tianjin University, Nankai University, Chongqing University, Hunan University, and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Among the participants included Zhang Wenlei, President of CCAIA and Zhang Shoute, Vice Secretary General. The conference aims to better enhance the electrochemical process technology in the petroleum and chemical industry, boost high-quality development of the industry, create an industrial ecosystem of "industry, academia and research " for industrial electrochemical processes so as to achieve the green, efficient, economical, and sustainable goals. As industry leaders and experts in the main field of industrial electrochemistry made speeches, Zhang Wenlei, President of CCAIA, introduced the development status, progress in technical equipment, development prospects, and R&D innovation needs in key areas of the chlor- alkali industry. The conference extensively discussed the development and application of areas such as chlor-alkali, petrochemicals, electro organic synthesis, water electrolysis for hydrogen production, electrochemical metallurgy, electrode materials and electrochemical reactors, environmental electrochemical treatment, and electrochemical monitoring. At the same time, consensus was reached on organizing the 18th National Conference on Organic Electrochemistry and the 1st Industrial Electrochemistry Academic Conference.
