From October 15th to 17th, the annual council of the World Chlorine Council (WCC) was held in Bras¨ªlia, Brazil, attended by heads of organizations including the WCC, Eurochlor, ACC, CloroSur, and JSIA. Zhang Peichao, Vice President and Secretary General of CCAIA, attended the meeting and participated in the thematic meetings of the global safety group, global science group, and global communication group, as well as the council meeting. The meeting exchanged information on the current status, issues and key points of development of the chlor-alkali industry in various regions including the United States, Europe, South America, India, Japan, Korea, and China, and conducted full discussions on the long-term sustainable development of the chlor-alkali industry. The meeting summarized the work of the WCC in 2023 and discussed and adopted the focus of work in 2024.
